What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.

— William Shakespeare

Anyone who's ever had a baby knows that one of the more stressful moments is deciding on a name. There are so many things to consider, like family names or how a name sounds with a last name.

Picking a name for our daughter was a long process, one that my husband and I kept revisiting for months.

One of the things we thought about was the sound of the name. Names with three or more syllables can sometimes be hard to pronounce. Believe me, I know that first hand. As a general rule, two-syllable names are easier to say and they have a nice flow to them.

They must be pretty popular too, because according to babycenter.com, more than half of the names on the list of the 100 most popular boy names of 2017 were two-syllable ones.

If you are thinking about a two-syllable name for your boy, here are some ideas for you.
