With very charming illustrations, and a well written simple text; making this a childhood classic a perfect addition to any family library. This little golden book is a golden bunny classic! The timeless artwork is very sweet eye-candy to a child, and adults as well ... All through the book, bunny's family from parntes to aunts and uncles speculates as to what he will be when he grows up - on adult asks will he be a fireman? anther ask will he be a circus clown? or maybe a lion tamer? Only the baby bunny knows for sure, and his choice is precious and heart-warmer. This is a particularly good one for Fathers and their little boys to read together. As they find out together that bunny's true wish is to be a good daddy when he grows up, just like his dad. It is fun to give each family member a different voice and it is hard not to get all choked up at the very end. I would highly recommend this book for little ones from one year old to adulthood. Beautifully written by Patsy Scarry, and handsomely illustrated by Richard Scarry. This is a true classic Golden Book, made by Western Publishing Company ... In the photo and video below is Walt Disney's, Bambi Friends of the Forest, 1975, this is a beautiful a Little Golden Book ... Though but a handsome fawn, Bambi, the Prince of the Forest saves his little friend Thumper's life, making his distant and aloof father, the King of the Forest very proud. "Bambi: Friends of the Forest" is an entirely separate adventure from the classic movie, and is wonderfully told.
The Walt Disney Company has done a commendable job and amazing job in the formation of this brief but wonderful tale. Bambi and the others animals of the forest all have solid, and very likable character traits, and this comes through remarkably well all during the telling of the story. Bambi and Thumper's almost reckless curiosity is chided, while Bambi courage in the face of adversity is vaunted for everyone in the forest to see ...
