Is a Pregnant Mother's Strep Throat Dangerous to Her Unborn Baby?
Most women make extra effort to take care of themselves during a pregnancy, since everything that happens to you also happens to your baby. Even things like feeling depressed can greatly affect your unborn child. Getting strep throat while pregnant isn’t very common but it does happen.

Some women opt for more natural remedies as they are wary about using any type of medication during their pregnancy. If you fall into this category, there are a few things that you might want to try.
Garlic. Garlic is a well-known natural antibiotic that can aid in the relief of strep throat.
Humidity. Another good way to make your throat feel better is to turn on the humidifier. You can also place a bowl of steaming water on a table and hold a towel over your head to collect and breathe in the steam. Stay away from cold, dry rooms as this will only amplify the soreness in your throat.
Hot Liquid. A hot drink offers relief for a strep throat. Chamomile tea, for example, is a natural analgesic which helps in alleviating pain and soreness. Lemon tea with a dash of cinnamon is another good alternative. For those who are not fond of tea, an alternative would be to boil some ginger in water. The ginger gives really helps in relieving any soreness in your throat. If nausea is an issue, a warm cup of water, ginger root, honey, and lemon can help.
Apple Cider Vinegar. For a stronger remedy, you may add 3 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar and some honey to 8 ounces of water and drink.
