One-Year-Old Is Totally "Reading" Her Book

A fascinating tale.

They say it's never too early to start reading to babies. That even if they can't understand the words, they're still picking up on your intonations and learning language and developing an interest in stories.

Most of the time, caregivers read to babies, since they're not exactly capable of reading to themselves. Except the baby in this video from @rom_dacosta is all ready to read herself a book. It doesn't look like a picture book, either. She's going straight for the grown-up stuff. But whatever it is, the story is apparently very lively.

Who wouldn't love to listen to this baby "read" just about anything? So absolutely adorable! She's so animated. Someday she's going to be a great storyteller, clearly.

Commenters had their own interpretations as to what she might be saying, but everybody agreed she was just over-the-top sweet.
"I understood EVERY word!"
"Hi heard 'I be, I be, I bees up all night'"
"ITS HER GIVING EYE CONTACT TO THE AUDIENCE AS SHE READS THE PROFESSIONALISM IS ALREADY STRONG"
"Is this available on audiobook?"
"I could listen to her read all day"
"'I see sa Yuppy yuppy' soooo cuteeee"

In all seriousness, what this baby is doing really is a good sign that she'll be a baby who loves books. Babies can start loving books before they understand any of the words inside them: They're fascinated by the way pages turn and the way paper feels and the way people seem to stare at them so intently.

This sweet little one is on her way to a lifetime of reading!
