Mom Captures Baby’s First Time In the Sprinkler and It Definitely Doesn’t Go as Planned

We feel a little guilty for laughing.

There's something about parenting that's just a tiny bit easier in the summer. Thanks to the warm weather and the fact that kids will play forever if there's water involved, entertaining the troops for long periods of time is a lot simpler (and after purchasing water toys for the yard, we don't even have to leave our house).

But then, there are those younger babies who aren't too sure about water play, and some of them end up downright afraid of the sprinkler and splash pad. Exhibit A: This baby, who got to experience a backyard sprinkler for the first time and was not into it.

Mom sets the baby down in the sprinkler, and immediately, we know from this face that this is NOT okay. And then, things only got worse when he tried to take a step and ended up slipping and rolling onto his back. Yep, it's safe to assume that his first sprinkler experience wasn't exactly what his mom pictured, but luckily, she was there to grab him when he needed her!

The video is made even better by the sound Mom used — the video/sound combo here is really perfect!

And don't worry: he wasn't hurt. "He laughed and signed 'more' when I picked him up," his mom wrote.

Hopefully, this little guy's second attempt at sprinkler fun will go a lot better than the first. After a slip like that, there's nowhere to go but up.
