If you're a parent, you probably figured out a long time ago that kids in general are not really "roll with the punches" kind of people. Being picky doesn't end with food — no, they can be picky about all kinds of things. And for some children, that means being especially particular about the clothes they wear.
This is something that can naturally happen as kids begin to develop their own sense of what it means to express themselves through style... but some take it to another level, and the constant arguments about getting dressed in the morning can really become exhausting. But one mom out there has discovered a hack for this problem, and she's sharing it with all of us who need it on TikTok.
As this mom explained in her caption, much of her kids' wardrobes consist of hand-me-downs, which they don't mind — but they do want clothing with their favorite characters on it like what they see at the store. It can definitely get pricy, especially when it comes to items like outerwear, and she doesn't want to spend a lot of money on something they'll quickly outgrow. Even so, she knows how important it is for her children to express themselves through what they wear as they grow.
Enter the perfect solution: A little something she calls "Put a Pikachu on it." She realized that the way to please her Pokémon loving son is to add an iron-on Pikachu patch to the clothing he already owns, which stops the argument before it begins.
"I actually bought a pack of 20 Pokémon patches," she confessed. "Anything that he won't wear that I want him to, I'm just gonna put a Pokémon on it."
Simple, cost effective, and makes our lives as moms easier? We can get on board with that!
