Dad Flies to Utah Overnight To Give Daughter Who Miscarried a Hug

He's the best.

Even as adults, there are still times when the only thing we want is our parents. In the most difficult of situations, there's no comfort like getting a hug from Mom or Dad, and having them tell us it'll be okay. But once we're all grown up and living on our own, it's not as easy as walking into the kitchen to ask for a hug — the distance between us and our parents can sometimes mean months between visits.

But there's one dad out there who wasn't willing to let a little distance stop him from being with his daughter in her time of need. In a video on TikTok, one woman shared how her dad flew overnight to Utah to be with her after she lost her pregnancy, and the moment is heartbreaking and sweet all at the same time.

"We lost our baby at 16 weeks and my dad flew through the night from Florida to Utah. We had no idea he was coming, but his hug was exactly what I needed," she explained.

The video shows the doorbell camera footage from when her dad unexpectedly arrived at her door, and seeing her immediately burst into tears is almost enough to make us cry, too. The casual way her dad said, "I figured I'd come check on you," is one of the most "dad" things we've ever heard.

This just goes to show how much our kids will always need us, no matter how old they get.

We can't imagine how difficult this time must be for this woman, but we're glad her dad was able to make it there to support her like only a parent can.
