When you ask a 6-year-old to do a job for you, you never really know what kind of result you're going to get. Are they going to get bored with their task halfway through and abandon it? Do they understand the assignment, so to speak? It's a bit of a gamble, but sometimes you have no other choice.
Like the 6-year-old in this video from @patiencevohler. Well, actually, you don't see the 6-year-old in the video, you see the 6-year-old's handiwork. And it is pretty clever, really. Faced with a crawling baby, this little boy felt the best way to stop her would be to weigh her down with what looks to be a package of cans? This is why playpens used to be so popular.

Welp, that's one way to do it! As the mom explained, the little girl was totally ready for a nap, so as soon as she stopped moving she just petered right out. In that way, the 6-year-old's move was true genius: Not only did he keep his sister from crawling away, he somehow got her down for a nap!
Commenters just loved everything about this story:
"omg! hilarious!!!! but clever! baby said, "ok, you got me. imma just nap then!""
"Big brother has already figured out Dad mode"
"Baby just gave up and fell asleep"
"I have never seen a more "big brother" thing in my life I love it"
"my mom always told me how when I was little she would tuck piece of my nightgown under a corner of the couch so she could clean"
"I mean this is really the mom hack we all needed."
Looks like this 6-year-old is actually inspiring parents! Hey, whatever you need to do to get that laundry done.
