Many people consider Selena one of the best movies of all time — and not just because it was Jennifer Lopez's breakout role. It's a really solid retelling of the iconic singer Selena Quintanilla's short time in the spotlight that came to a tragic end when she was killed at just 23 years old... and of course, that means the movie itself is a bit of a tearjerker.
We can all remember running through the full gamut of emotions the first time we watched Selena, and this little girl is no different. A dad on TikTok shared clips of his daughter watching the movie for the first time, and boy do we relate to her commentary.

For most of the movie, she's happily watching and dancing. At one part, she even gets up and stands next to the TV, pretending to be performing like Selena's doing in the scene. But by the end, she's sobbing, and she even seems to be mad at her dad for showing her the movie in the first place.
We've been there before, sweetie. This movie is a brutal one, made worse by the fact that it's a true story!
"It’s traumatizing, but this is a part of being a Latino kid. We have to watch the movie, cry it out, and continue her legacy and be fans forever," one person commented on the video.
One day, she'll be able to watch the movie again, because let's face it — it's a good movie that everyone should see more than once. Hopefully, next time, she'll be more prepared for the way it ends.
