Mom’s Genius Nap Time Hack Will Get Even Your Fussiest Toddler to Sleep

Trying this immediately.

If you're a toddler parent, you already know that these years can be brutal. As they're getting bigger and learning so many new things all the time, they're also seeking independence and control that they might not be quite ready for... and that can lead to some tough consequences for us as parents. Tantrums are hard enough to handle, but at some point or another, your kid will likely start refusing to nap, too.

That doesn't necessarily mean that they're ready to stop napping for good — just that they need a little extra help as they work through this phase. And thanks to one hack a mom is sharing on TikTok, we might have just the thing to make this time a little easier (and more restful) for everybody involved.

Instead of nap time, this mom recommends having nest time... and it's easy to make a nest with the things you already have around the house. She fills a laundry basket with a pillow, a comfy blanket, and a couple of quiet toys for her little one. Then, when he refuses to nap, he goes into the nest instead — and according to her, it works every time.

At first, she sets a timer for a short amount of time, like 30 minutes or so, and then she works up to longer amounts of time in the nest. Eventually, this helps them transition out of nap time and into a quiet time instead... hopefully still allowing Mom some time to relax or get things done in the middle of the day!

This is definitely something we should try. It can't hurt!
