I had sex July 13th and used the pull out method. I've never had a normal cycle, but I've started spotting, and now I'm having a really light period. The week before my period starts, I always experience hot flashes, sore breasts, and will eat anything I see. This is happening again, but with a light period (I'm normally heavy). I've taken a pregnancy test that came back negative. Could it be too early to take one, and should I wait to take another?
I would wait to take another test until the bleeding has stopped. If the bleeding isn't related to your menstrual cycle and is instead pregnant related, then it's possible your body hasn't built up enough hormones for the test to give you a legitimate answer.
If the test you take after the bleeding stops comes back negative, then it's probably just a wonky period. However, if your periods continue to be lighter than usual, it would be a good idea to bring it up with your doctor.
