I started Metformin on the third day of my cycle which is usually 60 days long. On the 28th day of my cycle, I had what I would describe as implantation spotting and have experienced mild cramping as well. I'm scared to test for fear of the test is negative. When do you think is the best time to take a pregnancy test?

Answer

I can totally understand the fear in taking a pregnancy test because you want it to be positive and if you take a test too early, then there's a real possibility that it could turn up as a false negative.

Since I don't know the date of your last period I can't put your dates into a pregnancy test calculator to see when a good time to test would be, however, you can do that - I like the one at CountDownToPregnancy.com

The other thing I would suggest if you're hoping to actively try to get pregnant is to make an appointment with your OB to talk about your best options. They may refer you to a fertility specialist to help you have the best resources and treatments for having a baby.
