Depending on who’s reporting 60-70% of second generation businesses fail. Most kids are not interested in their family’s business. Your son is probably not that excited to work for you. In terms of the job you need to treat him like an employee, use progressive discipline. I’m sure you have given him a verbal warning, his next late give him a written warning, have him sign it. The next late after that terminate him. He may get upset but after all it is a job. On the good side, these kids seem to excell when they work for other people.
