You need to identify the learning gaps in your child. Is she lacking in knowledge concerning budgeting? Does she simply apply for the wrong jobs? Figure out what is causing the issue and teach her the life skill she is missing. It sounds like they try but, are lacking some basic survival skills. Unfortunately, it may take you some time to figure out the learning gap. It may just be that she needs to find a career not a job.
Our 30 year old daughter has an 18 month old. Father was never in the picture. She lived with us through the pregnancy and we took care of her. When the baby was 1 they moved to their own apt I left my job to be a full-time caregiver to my granddaughter. Just found out my daughter is allowing her boyfriend of a few months to live with her. We do not want this. What can we do or say to her?
How do you help a 24 your daughter, who is depressed/anxious, has a host of sexual and physical trauma, is not financially stable, lives at home (no rules or responsibilities) and is so broken that she blames everyone for everything and does not self-reflect? She can be very hurtful with her words and explosive but says, "Well, that's how it fee!". When you call her out on what she says, she gets even more upset and flips on me. I am at loss. What can I do?
