The scan says I am ten weeks pregnant, but according to the date I had sex, it doesn't make sense. Why is my child older than the time he or she was conceived?

I can't answer accordingly to any of the dates you gave me because they are confusing, but I can tell you this. Pregnancy is counted from the first day of your last period, since on average a woman will deliver a baby around forty weeks from her last period. Technically, you aren't really pregnant during the first two weeks since conception happens ten to fourteen days after that last period. So, you are ten weeks pregnant, even though you may not have conceived around that time.
